Judy Blume adaptation meets Netflix in May

The series adaptation of Judy Blume's novel “Forever” will premiere on Thursday, May 8th.

Showrunner and Creator Mara Brock Akil is behind the new series based on the 1975 book that follows the teenagers and their experience to lose their virginity. The show takes a new perspective and, according to the official Logline, presents “an epic love story of two black teenagers, the romance and their identities through the unpleasant journey of the first in Los Angeles, explored in 2018.

The line -up includes Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Marvin Winans III, Xosha Roquemore, Niles Fitch, Barry Shabaka Henley, Ali Gallo, Xavier Mills, E'Myri Crutchfield, Adriyan Rae and Paigion Walker.

Akil Executive produces the drama with flower, Susie Fitzgerald, Sara White, Erika Harrison, Regina King, Reina King, Anthony Hemingway and Shana C. Waterman.

First appearance/trailer

The trailer for the third season of Fox '”Alert: Missing Person's Unit” was published. The season will be premiere on March 25th and see how the MPU is looking for a member of the same police authority. The procedure that takes place in Philadelphia includes actors Scott Caan, Dania Ramirez, Ryan Broussard, Adeola Rolle, Diana Bang, Ian Tracey and Alisha-Marie Ahamed.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner is a new suit this season that chief inspector Bill Houston plays in a recurring role and takes on a presence of fatherly time for the MPU.

Acorn TV has released a first look at her upcoming art world crime thriller drama “Art Detective”, which premiere on June 9th. The series by Stephen Moyer, which is produced by Stephen Moyer.

Together, the duo deals with cases “by Banksy Street Art about medieval manuscript and collectible vinyl”. According to a press release, the six-episode series Mick follows when he “navigates and demands cases, while he manages an emerging romance with the museum curator Rosa (Sarah Alexander) and the sudden resumption of his charismatic father Ron (Larry Lam), one of the best known changes in Great Britain.”

A woman is forced to confront her killer father in a new trailer for the new Paramount+ series “Happy Face”.

Based on the true history of Happy Face Killers, the show Melissa (Annaleigh Ashford) follows when she dealt with her detained father (Dennis Quaid) after trying to return to her life decades later. In a race against time, Melissa has to find out whether an innocent man will die for a crime that her father really committed. The line -up also includes James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey.

“He wasn't always a monster, he became one. Before that, he was just my father, ”says Melissa in the trailer. The show inspires themselves from the podcast “Happy Face Presents: Two Face” on iheartpodcasts and the autobiography “Shattered Silence”. It is produced by CBS studios in connection with King Size Productions, IheartPodcasts and semi-formal productions.

The show will start on March 20 with a two-episode premiere. New episodes fall off every Thursday and only stream on Paramount+.

PROGRAMMING

The National Hockey League has presented its animated program for the rest of the 2024-25 season, in which various sales partners, content types and formats for the presentation of on-day campaigns are presented in an animated environment.

The new programming includes “NHL Showcase, presented by Dr. Simi+”on March 16 with real-time animation data from the Colorado Avalanche-Dallas Stars Game“ Hockey Paradise ”, a collaboration between NHL and Tampa Bay Lightning,“ Music City Hockey ”. NHL, Calgary Flames and Sportsnet.

Telemundo adds a live sports show called “El Pelotazo”.

The series will be premiered on March 10 and broadcast daily. It is organized by Verónica Rodríguez, Pablo Mariño and Diego Arrioja and includes sports reporting and analysis as well as guest segments.
