Date Production Workshop Set for April 23 in Palm Desert

Scientists who present research on irrigation, nutrients, diseases, pests and regulations,

The California Date Palm Workshop 2025 will take place on April 23 in Palm Desert in the UC Riverside Palm Desert Center. Anyone who is interested in the cultivation of data is cordially invited.

“This workshop unites researchers, producers and stakeholders to discuss the latest research data on the” state of the date “in California,” said Ali Montazar, the organizer of the workshop, Ali Montazar, the consultant for irrigation and water management for imperial, riverside and San Diego.

The International Date Research Workshop runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. scientists who share the latest research and information on various aspects of date production, including irrigation and nutrient management, illness and pest control as well as laws and regulations.

Abdelouahhab Zaid, General Secretary of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palace and Agricultural Innovation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will speak regionally and internationally about the development of date of the date.

Ricardo Salomon-Torres, research professor at the Universidad Estatal de Sonora San Luis Río Colorado, will discuss the status of the Date Palm Industry in Mexico.

Montazar will discuss irrigation management. Mark Hoddle, specialist for biological control specialist at the UC Cooperative Extension on the UC Riverside, will present a presentation in California about South American palm washes.

“We will also have a producer discussion about the concerns and needs of the California date industry,” said Montazar. “This event is a great opportunity to show how impressive the date of the date and agriculture in the region are with low deserts.”

Participation is free of charge, but registration is requested when registering on site, at 7:30 a.m. in the UCR Palm Desert Center in the 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive, Palm Desert, approx. 92211.
