Officials said the battery was briefly included in a “thermal outlier”, which was partly due to damage from the house fire of November 11, 2024, which destroyed the house and damaged several vehicles.

During the 2024 fire, the police said they were called to the family home for a heavy fire, whereby the crews would have to meet intensive flames and bring in thousands of gallons water.

No injuries were reported in both incidents, officials said.
