The police believe that water tank losing in Blairsville Borough was caused by a ball

In Indiana County, an examination is now underway after the people in Blairsville have noticed water from one of the district's water tanks.

The residents on the Turner Drive said they didn't hear a shot, but when they got up on Monday morning, they saw how the water gushed out of the tank.

“I was worried, so I called the church and let it come up,” recalled Mike Embry.

Embry said he came outside on Monday to drink his morning coffee when he noticed that the water was spraying out of the tank that was right in front of his house.

“They lick every now and then and they will arise and they will repair,” he said.

Now the Blairsville Borough police believe that someone shot the water tank in the early morning.

“I have no idea why they would do that, it doesn't make sense,” said Embry. “I don't know if you have an ax to grind with the community or not. Maybe someone is doing someone, someone's child or something that might do it.”

The chief of police said that 132,000 gallons were lost water and about 800 US dollars. In addition, the damage to the tank is estimated at around 500 US dollars for a total of 1,300 US dollars.

“It is aligned with someone pays the price and unfortunately there are US residents,” said Embry.

The police said they are currently checking residential cameras in the region and trying to win the ball out of the tank to identify the type of weapon used.

“Let's only hope if someone has done it [they] Fess, say my bad, how can we do it right, so that we do not eat the taxpayer the bill in this way, “said Chad Bollinger, another resident.

In the meantime, the Blairsville police said if they have information, call it.
