Suspect at fatal shooting Cherry Ridge protected his sister, say court documents, say

Mobile, Ala. (Wala)-a fatal shootout in West Mobile means that a 19-year-old man is charged with manslaughter.

According to court documents, Damion Blackman shot after an argument, 24-year-old Orlando Smoots JR ..

These documents say Blackman said he protects his sister because she was attacked.

All of this happened on February 27 shortly after 6:30 p.m. at Cherry Ridge Court. The investigators have taped the area, while they were looking for evidence.

The public prosecutor's office of the mobile phone district said that Blackman was charged with a provocation factor for manslaughter.

In other words, Blackman acted impulsively after he had been provoked by what he said, an attack on his sister.

Blackman has tied out of prison ever since.

Blackman's bond was set at 30,000 US dollars. Now that he is out, he cannot have firearms, have a ankle monitor, have no contact with the victim's family and has a house arrest.
