The Los Angeles Lakers welcomed the Back Star Guard Austin Reaves for their Matchup marquee on Thursday against the New York Knicks.

Dave McMenamin from ESPN was shared over X.

The 26-year-old last played against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. He only played nine minutes and went early because of a calf problem.

After the Lakers had suffered the injury the next day and received an MRI, the Lakers listed the Reaves as daily, which for the last three games after having suffered a left patellar tendinopathy last Thursday against Minnesota Timberwolves.

The head coach of Lakers, JJ Redick, addressed the injury to Reaves at the beginning of this week and said he had the feeling that his daily status was good news.

“I have the feeling that it was good news that there were no structural or muscle injuries,” Redick told reporters. “So we will do it as we would do every other player, and if he is ready to go, he will be back.”

The 26-year-old was excellent for the Lakers and had his best season as a professional. In season four, he achieved average career height across the board and pays 19.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 51 games and 34.7 minutes of action.

The Arkansas native sometimes played like the best player in the Lakers. Head coach JJ Redick gave him the freedom to play as he wants and he has been thriving so far.

Reaves was relatively healthy throughout his career. At the beginning of the season, however, he had a pelvic problem when he fell hard against the Thunder of Oklahoma City.

Because of this injury, he missed five games.

Although Reaves missed the last two games, the Lakers had no problem and both won, including their latest against the low New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers have won relatively easily, but their matchup against the kinks will be difficult. The game on Thursday will be the second and last matchup against New York.

In their last matchup on February 1, the Lakers and Reaves won great and recorded 27 points at 7-of-12 shooting from the field, five rebounds, six assists and three steals.
