Municipal Council Member Workshop proposed schedule for fee increases for Logan River Gold Course – KVNU

Logan – In a meeting on March 4, the members of the Logan Municipal Council dealt with a series of workshop topics, which is likely to be coordinated at the next session.

Russ Akina, director of Parks & Recreation, seemed to inform the council members about a new schedule of fees that were proposed for the Logan River Golf Course.

According to Resolution 25-08, the proposed new fees on May 1 would be effective, the first time that the fees on municipal golf course have increased since November 2023.

After measuring the prices that were charged by other golf courses in the entire region – including the left in Birch Creek in Smithfield, Eagle Mountain in Brigham City, Hobble Creek in Springville and Bountiful Ridge in BOOTIFUL – the city's recreational staff recommended for the golf course in Logan River.

Akina said that these fees were motivated by the city's employees who wanted to build a capital fund reserve to finance future improvements in the course of the course, the golf car and the irrigation system.

The personnel recommended that a fee for the season pass for adults from 1,200 USD would increase to $ 1,300 and a seasonal pass for senior golfers would increase from 1,100 US dollars.

Comparable fees for the passports for adults in Birch Creek are $ 1,300. Eagle Mountain cost $ 1,025; Hobble Creek cost 1,200 US dollars; and BOONTIFUL Ridge cost 1,300 US dollars.

The fees for season tickets for older golfers in Birch Creek are 1,300 US dollars. Eagle Mountain cost $ 1,025; Hobble Creek cost 1,200 US dollars; and BOONTIFUL Ridge cost 1,000 US dollars.

The green fees for adults for 18 holes on the Logan River would increase from 38 to $ 40. Green fees for adults for 9 holes would increase from 19 to 20 US dollars.

Comparable green fees for 18 holes in Birch Creek are 40 US dollars; Eagle Mountain cost $ 38; Hobble Creek cost $ 40; and BOONTIFUL Ridge cost $ 40.

Green fees for 9 holes in Birch Creek are 20 US dollars; Eagle Mountain cost 19 US dollars; Hobble Creek cost 20 US dollars; and BOONTIFUL Ridge cost 20 US dollars.

The city's employees also recommended that the fees on the Logan River for Adult Punch pass from 290 to 310 US dollars and fees for senior Punch passes to increase from 250 to $ 270.

The only recommendation that the council members actively questioned was to increase a half-day rent of the Logan River tournament room from 500 to $ 800, while the costs for a full-day rental rental to $ 1,600.

But Akina defended these increases by saying that they were necessary to cover the cost of the rapid cleaning of this room in order to absorb tenants on the same day.

Members of the local council took these personnel recommendations until their next meeting on Tuesday, March 18, under advice.

Other workshop articles, which were examined by the council members on March 4, included budget adjustments for the 2024-25 financial year; Future power needs for the city; the action plan of 2025 Public Art Action; And a proposed regulation that rules local house professions.
