A 37-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested in Lee County for possession and distribution of child pornography after a comprehensive examination of cybercrime.

According to Sheriff Jim H. Johnson, the Department of Criminal Service of the Sheriff Department of Lee County received a cyber tip from the Internet crime of the Mississippi General Prosecutor (ICAC) in December 2024. The national center for missing and exploited children (NCMEC) had alerted the authorities after a social media platform had reported the alleged distribution of sexual abuse of children (CSAM).

After the tip, the investigators carried out an extensive probe in which search command and lectures on the social media platform and the internet service provider. This led the law enforcement agencies to a certain place and a suspect in Saltillo, Mississippi.

On March 4, 2025, the officials carried out a search command in a house in Birmingham Ridge Road in a house in Birmingham Ridge Road. In cooperation with several law enforcement agencies, including the Sheriff department of the Lee County, the Mississippi General Prosecutor's Office, the US Ministry of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Ahmad was taken into custody and charged with the possession and distribution of child pornography.

The authorities have confiscated electronic devices from home that undergo forensic analysis. Additional government fees can be submitted, and federal costs are also taken into account in the course of the examination.

This is the result of a multi-agency effort between the ICAC investigators of the Lee County Sheriff, the ICAC investigator of the Mississippi General Prosecutor, the district prosecutor of the 1st District Mississippi, Homeland Protection and FBI.
