Balloons in memory of Lexington teen shot and killed

Lexington, Ky.-Am Wednesday was a quarter of Lexington with family and friends of Arsenio Jackson Jr., a 16-year-old Henry Clay student who was shot at the beginning of this week. Balloons were released in his memory.

“It felt good on the inside, my son was loved,” said Arsenios mother Ieisha Cofield.

Cofield said her son loved football, his family, danced and silly.

“I'm hurt, but I know that I will get through it,” said Cofield. “I am surrounded by love and that means a lot to me.”

The police reacted to Rambling Creek Drive at 2 a.m., when the police said they had found the arsenio on the street. The examination continues.

“If you are involved in the middle of anything that you shouldn't be, just go out quickly,” said Arsenios grandmother Bernadine Givens. “There are a lot of things here that children can do instead of fighting and playing with weapons and playing each other. It's just sad.”

No suspicious information was published.
