Local breweries will take part in the Colorado Pint Day fundraiser on Wednesday

Colorado Springs – Wednesday was Colorado Pint Day, a fundraising campaign by Colorado Brewers Guild to support and promote breweries across the state.

This is the 10th year in which the Colorado Brewers Guild Colorado Pint Day has recorded. Breweries that have participated sold customers who came all day long.

$ 1 of every pint glass went to the Colorado Brewers Guild, who in return uses the money for their mission.

News5 visited the Urban Animal Brewery in the South Tejon Street. They said that customers often mark their calendars on this day to get these individual glasses.

“It is a kind of cult that is now following,” said Blake Beckstrom, Manager of Urban Animal Brewery. “I know people who actually take away from work to get in and get a glass. Sell some places in an hour, a few places sell in one day.”

This year's glasses were decorated with pictures of animals that connect beer lovers with Colorado, including Blucifer The Horse.
