A man had to answer all of this- the state's prison commissioner, Daniel Martuscello. His family has profound relationships within the Ministry for Corrections and Community Supervision. Some important legislators and supporters say that Martuscello DCCs moves in a progressive direction, while others indicate earlier scandals than evidence that he cannot be familiar.

Chris Gelardi examined Martuscello and his family for New York Focus for more than a year, a non -profit online newsroom via Albany.

Neither Daniel Martuscello, Chris Martuscello nor did DCCS accept interview requests or answered several inquiries about comments for his history. He spoke to Emily Russell about power, patronage and the influence of the martusacelle in the New York prison system.
