The third suspect who was arrested during bank fraud examinations

Jonesboro, Ark. – The police arrested a third suspect that was accused of using fake checks to steal a Jonesboro Bank.

The district judge of Craighead County, David Boling, found a probable reason on Tuesday, March 4, Stefan Depaul Trotter from West Memphis with eleven cases second degree, theft of $ 25,000 or more and in a continued criminal gang, organization or a company.

The Jonesboro police arrested 29-year-old Glen Thomas Burns from Conway and Amanda Bell Wooten in February.

According to the affidavit, the police were called to Arvest Bank in Jonesboro on Friday, January 24th to examine fraudulent activities.

The bank reported that from November 14, 2024 and 7 February 2025, 65 accounts were opened, which were used to steal more than 200,000 US dollars fraudulently.

The police discovered that Trotter, Burns and Wooden belonged to at least six suspects, that they insert fraudulent checks into these recently opened accounts using the ATM Automats after the business time.

The suspects would then withdraw 200 dollars from the ATM.

“The bank records show that the rest of the money in the account would be transferred from the accounts with other mobile banking methods,” says the affidavit.

From December 3 to December 12, 2024, the police said that Trotter 11 had deposited fraudulent checks.

The bonds of trotters and woods were each set at 25,000 US dollars in cash/guarantee.

Online prison records show that Trotter was published on Bond on Wednesday, March 5.

On Friday, February 21, the judge of the District Court of Craighead County County, Tommy Fowler, stated the bond from Burns at 10,000 US dollars in cash/guarantee.

Trotter, Wooden and Burns are to appear in court on Thursday, April 24th.
