SpaceX plans to start the eighth test flight of his huge starship rocket today (March 6) and you can watch the dramatic action live.

Starship, the largest and most powerful rocket that has ever been built, is to take off on Thursday from SpaceX 'Starbase location in South Texas during a window that will be open at 6:30 p.m. EST (11:30 p.m. in Texas). That is planned three days later than originally planned; SpaceX launched the Starship Flight 8 on Monday (March 3), but described this attempt after discovering problems with the rocket.

SpaceX announced a one -day delay compared to a targeted start on March 5 in a post on X Wednesday morning. You can view flight 8 here at Space.com, with the friendly approval of SpaceX or directly via the company. The cover begins about 40 minutes in front of the fabric.

If everything goes according to plan today, Super Heavy will return to Starbase and will be caught by the “Chopstick arms” of the starting tower about seven minutes after the withdrawal.

The upper stage of Starship will now use four dummy versions of SpaceX's Starlink Breitband satellite on a suborbital trajectory before he sprayed down in Western Australia about 66 minutes after starting in the Indian Ocean.

These were also the main goals of Starship Flight 7, which were launched on the market on January 16. SpaceX pulled off a super heavy chopstick fan that day, but the ship did not go out so well: there was a leaflet and exploded over the Atlantic Ocean before it was able to use its appearance -Starlink -Spacecraft. SpaceX develops spaceship to help mankind to colonize the moon and Mars and to do most of the company's other starting tasks. NASA has a great participation in the vehicle; The agency has selected the Starship to be the first Lunar Lander for its Artemis program, which will end up on the moon for astronauts in the next few years.

The current iteration of the spaceship is 403.5 (123 meters) tall, but Elon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX, said future versions will be even bigger.
