Ice arrests criminal aliens and foreign refugees who are drug -like due to drug trafficking in Brazil

Boston – The US immigration and customs authority arrested criminal foreigners and refugee from Justice Leandro Romano de Souza, 27, for a conviction for drug trafficking in Brazil on January 27.

“The arrest of this criminal alien, which has come into the United States illegally to avoid justice, underlines our relentless commitment to identify and capture people who take advantage of our limits to escape the accountability,” said Patricia Hyde, director of Ice Enforcement and removed, in Boston. “We are still used to work closely with our international law enforcement partners to ensure that foreign refugees who are looking for refuge in our communities are quickly located and removed from our community.”

Romano de Souza entered the United States in or near Calexico, California, without inspection or approval of an immigration officer. Romano de Souza arrested the US -border patrol and dismissed him to command of recognition.

The Criminal Enforcement Court of the District of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, granted an arrest warrant against Romano de Souza in September 2024 to serve the rest of his 14 -year year in Brazil.

Ice arrested Romano de Souza during an improved operation in Peabody on January 27th. Romano de Souza remains in ice custody up to distance.
