Suspect who was arrested in fatal shootings at the Carrollwood basketball court

This week, the MPs arrested a suspect in connection with a shootout in a Carrollwood park in which a man killed a man and wounded another.

Anthony Cabrera Morales, 18, was arrested with a firearm due to murder's second degree and tried on Tuesday at a basketball court in the division of the first degree plantation.

The 19 -year -old Brian Jones was killed and another man wounded. The sheriff's office did not publish the name of the second man.

On Tuesday at 7:25 p.m., the deputies answered with a call about shots that were fired on a basketball court in Plantation Park near the Parkcrest Drive. They found two men who had been shot.

Both men were taken to a local hospital where Jones died. The other man was listed in stable state on Wednesday.

According to the office of the sheriff, detective identified morals as a shooter after questioning witnesses.

An affidavit was not immediately available on Thursday.
