Portsmouth Fire sends a person to a hospital, say officials

The crews were sent to a fire in the 3000 block of the George Washington Washington in the 3000 block of the George Washington. The cause of the fire was found as an unattended cooking on the stove.

Portsmouth, va. – A fire in Portsmouth on Thursday morning injured a person, according to the officials of Portsmouth Fire Department (PFD).

PFD says that you and the regional fire rescue of the Navy Hampton were sent to a fire around 5:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of the George Washington Washington Washington. The crews saw strong smoke and fire that came from the back of the building and the flames aggressively attacked.

They were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other structures.

Officials say that a person with non -life -threatening injuries was taken to the hospital. No firefighters were injured.

PFD says that the cause of the fire is unattended on the stove.

The American Red Cross was contacted to help with a displaced person.
