Visitor and hotel revenue in Grand Rapids, Kent Co. Hits Record High 2024

According to Experience Grand Rapids, over 2.2 million hotel rooms were booked in 2024.

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Grand Rapids and Kent County recorded record quantities of visitors in 2024, according to Experience Grand Rapids (EXGR), the official target marketing organization for the area.

Data that was shared by ExGR at the annual session and tourism forum 2025 showed that sales and income from the hotel room in the county were highest and the record level of 2023 exceeded by 5%.

A total of 2,284,370 rooms were booked in 2024, a jump from 113,500 from 2023. Both 2023 and 2024 recorded a sales climber from the pre-pandemy level in 2019.

In 2024, the Hotels revenue brought a total of 274,077,928, an increase of over 15 million US dollars compared to 2023.
