For years on the World Book Day, children have appeared as their favorite book characters.

This year, an entire school in Essex was transformed into the Hogwarts School of witchcraft and magic, as can be seen in the Harry Potter Books and Films.

Only for one day did the students at the Hogarth Primary School in Brentwood belong to one of the four houses of Hogwarts, teachers left Sir and Miss, professors, and English and mathematics were exchanged for quidditch and potion courses.

“I found it really exciting … I think it really enjoyed it,” said Samuel with a black cloak and a blue tie to represent the Ravenclaw house.

The classrooms were full of magic bars and witch hats when the staff and the children Harry Potter hugged the school's first world book.

“It seemed to miss a good opportunity and to be called Hogarth,” said deputy headmaster Lauren King.

She was wearing a black dress in full length and a green cloak, which was inspired by Dame Maggie Smith's Professor McGonagall.

Ms. King said that teachers and parents had brought many props from home, so that the school had spent less than 50 pounds for conversion of the location into JK Rowling's fictional castle.

“We also thought it was a great way to include the children without spending a lot of money.

“Many of the children already have some of the things at home, for example, if they disguised themselves as a witch on Halloween, for example … or if they only wanted to come in a T-shirt that represents their house, it was also okay.”

The large hall of Hogwarts was rebuilt in the school hall, with teachers hugging their inner Albus Dumbledore by sitting on the students during the morning meeting.

Bobby, 10, said it was the “best day”.

“I have so much fun.”

Suela, who is in the sixth year, said she enjoyed drawing mythical creatures with her classmates, and that the day inspired her to see the Harry Potter films.

And for 5th grade students, a fan of the franchise, was the highlight of this world book day, which made fictional beasts with sound.
