Arkansa's football history – Saturday in the south

Arkansas started playing football in 1894. Arkansas has won a national title (1964) about the long and famous history of the Razorback program. The pigs have won 13 conference titles over the years, but never in the Sec. All 13 conference titles came during the SWC days.

Arkansas joined the Southeasters Conference in 1992 and has been in the league ever since. The Razorbacks have never won the Sec title before, but they won the Sec West 4 times-1995, 1998, 2002 and 2006. But they are 0: 3 in the second championship game.

The razibacks have had some well -known coaches over the years, including Frank Broiles, Lou Holtz, Bobby Petrino and others. You have never produced a Heisman winner (although many believe that RB Darren McFadden should have won at least once after ending the second place in 2006 and 2007).
