Melton tabberte to take over the new Brockton football program

Dothan, Ala. (Wtvy) – Another vacancy of football head coaches was occupied in the Wiregien, and this youngest shows a trainer who has just ended a recently historical run in another school.

Reggie Melton was announced on Thursday when the headset on the sidelines of the New Brockton High School took over and only the 16th different person who led the GameCocks football program.

Ashford's Melton makes the move to Coffee County, just a few months away from ending his first term of office of the head coach in Henry County at the Headland High School.

In three years, Melton led in the Playoffs of Alabama 5a 21: 13 and 2: 2 with 2-2. Under Melton, Headland 2022 and 2023 made the playoffs in two consecutive years and marked the first time since the turn of the century.

In the 2023 season for the RAMs, the program reached the third round of the State Football Playoffs for the first time and only earned their fourth 10-victory season in the program history.

Headland ended the third and last season under Melton in 2024 with 5: 5 and made the only season under Melton The Rams the playoffs.

Melton will take over for Jason Barnett, who ended a two-year run with the GameCocks with a 7:13 overall record, which spread the program of the program to five seasons.

New Brockton will open the 2025 season on August 22nd against Pike Liberal Arts, as they have been looking for after their first playoff appearance since 2019 and the first prize season since 2018.
