  • Cup Series Shriners Children's 500: 3:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 9th on FS1

This weekend, Nascar will be on the Phoenix Raceway for a triplet lighter from action. It is important because the tri-ooval is a mile of the hosts for the championship weekend at the end of October/early November.

The Nascar Cup series will headlines at the weekend. Technically speaking, it is a three-day weekend because the teams work on site and on Friday, but there are only two days on track activity for you.

The training is planned for 2 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon with live reporting on Amazon Prime Video. Qualifying will follow shortly afterwards.

The cover of the 500 of the Shriners Children's 500 begins with NASCAR RACEDAY At 2 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. Note that this is the first of six weeks in which the Cup series takes place on FS1.

The NASCAR XFINITY series is located on the sub -card of the Cup series, which will be invited to the garage on Friday morning. Training for XFINITY teams is planned for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The reporting will be streamed live on the CW app and on the CW website. Qualifying will follow shortly afterwards. Some partners can also radiate part of the session. Check your local entries.

The reporting on the GOVX 200 begins with Nascar Countdown Live At 4:30 p.m. ET on the CW. The racing cover begins at 5 p.m. ET with the green flag at 5.10 p.m. As last weekend, the reporting before the race is broadcast immediately after a college basketball game, this time Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech. If it is extremely long, reporting on Newsnation could be pushed.

Finally, the Arca Menard's series organizes a combination race on Friday with the Arca Menards series West. The training is planned on Friday at 4:30 p.m. ET, immediately followed by qualifying. No session is broadcast on television.

The reporting on General Tire 150 begins on Friday evening at 8 p.m. ET on FS1. The green flag should not fall long afterwards.

What does the weather look like?

The weather on Friday will not be great. The forecast currently requires rain with a high of 55 °. The rain will be the hardest in the morning, but there will always be a shower in the afternoon. The further north you go to Arizona, the worse the weather gets, as the snow is threatened.

The forecast suggests that Arca qualifying could be questioned because the route would have to be dried when it gets wet. Even if it is not so wet, the sky is also cloudy if it does not rain, which does not help the drying process.

However, everything seems to indicate that things will dry out until the race time. Don't be surprised if the start is delayed, but with lights in the game you will most likely get the race. Bring warm clothes with you when you go.

Saturday gets much better. The forecast is for sunny sky and a high of 70 °. Almost in the afternoon to the race. It can be a bit cold in the morning. So if you go, dress accordingly.

The weather on Sunday is excellent with a sunny sky and a high of 80 °. There is no likelihood of rain.

TV reviews Check: Cota

Austin was a mixed bag with regard to reviews. The broadcast of the Echopark Automotive Grand Prix on Sunday received an assessment of 2.15 with 4.132 million viewers. Compared to the previous year, this is an increase of 0.35 of a rating point (19.4%) and 822,000 spectators (24.8%). Sounds great.

However, these figures from last year came from the sixth race of the year. The third race of the year last year took place on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This race received an assessment of 2.4 with 4.359 million viewers.

The NASCAR XFINITY series concentrated on Saturday afternoon on Saturday afternoon 1.12 million viewers at the CW. That is 224,000 spectators (25%) compared to last year's race. It has also risen by 9% by 9% compared to the third season race of last year in Las Vegas, which had an assessment of 0.6 with 1.027 million viewers.

Remarkably, the only reason why a Nielsen assessment is available for the Cup race is the fact that it has run for a long time and dealt with the main time. More detailed evaluation information is available for programming between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Remember for daylight savings

Before we get started, remember that the time of daylight begins this weekend in most cases in the country. Remember to move your watches forward an hour before going to bed on Saturday evening if they do not adapt.

However, the vast majority of Arizona (including the Phoenix area) is an exception to this rule. As a result, you have to take this into account if you look at the official schedule for the race weekend. Add two hours to get the Easternzeit for Friday and Saturday, three hours for Sunday.
