Watertown Fire harms two family home in the Hillcrest Avenue: boss

Watertown – A house was damaged and a person was sold on Thursday after a fire on the Hillcrest Avenue, said officials.

Watertown's fire chief, David Bromley, said that shipping received a report on a possible structural fire in a house in the 100 block of the Hillcrest Avenue in the Oakville of Town section at 4:24 p.m.

Bromley said that the incoming crews found a two -story house with two bumps with strong smoke and fire from the back of the first floor of the residence. He said they had held an inner fire attack and searched for inmates, but no occupants were at home.

Firefighters were able to delete the fire quickly, said Bromley and found that it had extended to the second floor. He said the fire was under control at 5:08 p.m.

Bromley said that no firefighters were injured in the incident and added that the residence was made uninhabitable and the person living there decided to stay with a friend.
