Messi misses Inter Miamis Concacaf Champions Cup match against Cavalier

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (AP) – Lionel Messi did not play in Inter Miamis Concacaf Champions Cup group from 16 home game against the Jamaican Club Cavalier FC on Thursday evening.

The 37-year-old star striker missed his second game in a row after having distributed an MLS match in Houston on Sunday. Messi practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday with the club in Inter Miami's lead over the first stage of the home and at home against Cavalier.

Inter Miami trainer Javier Mascherano said on Wednesday that the eight-time balloon d'Or winner was not injured, and added that his availability for Thursday was similar to the other active players on the roster.

Miami is currently in a distance of four games in 11 days. After the game on Thursday, Inter Miami will be resumed against Charlotte against Charlotte on Sunday before he against Cavalier on March 13th in Kingston, Jamaica, on March 13th.
