Used engine now in the service for Kittitas County Fire District

After months of effort, a used but newly renovated fire engine for the Kittitas County Fire District 1 is now in operation.

The engine was on station 1-2 on Highway 10 and originally came from Indianola, Iowa, and sat unused for some time before it was restored by the volunteers and constant employees of the district.

The new engine replaces a 1992 model that suffered a catastrophic failure.

This newer truck with a small mild mild with a history of a reserve engine is now effective.

“We always work to improve our equipment more productively and to better use the community,” said Brandon Schmidt, fire chief of the Kittita County Fire District 1.

Although there are still a few repairs, including the fixed water valves and a power generator, the crew already trains on the truck to ensure that you are ready if necessary.
