Chance Mallory sets the decision date and includes Uva basketball in the TOP 5

It is the decision time for random mallory.

The four-star recruit from Konsens, ESPN Top 100 Point Guard, the Charlottesville, and the former UVA basketball committee have reportedly set his decision date and limited his list of schools to five finalists. As reported on Thursday afternoon (March 6), Mallory will announce his college decision on Saturday, March 22nd and the five schools in the race, Maryland, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Virginia.

Mallory, who played his high school ball in St. Annes-Belfield School, essentially towards John Paul Jones Arena on the other side of the street, seemed to be playing in Virginia in Virginia during his recruitment process, and that seemed to come into play when he committed himself to and much on September 20. Then Tony Bennett retired about a month later and Mallory understandably decided to reopen his recruitment on October 29. Mallory said that he is still considering Virginia, and while he has undertaken visits to Miami, Tennessee, Maryland and Vanderbilt, he also took part in several Uva basketball games, including the youngest home games against Duke and Florida State.

Mallory currently has the following reviews according to the most important recruitment services:

247sports: four-star, No. 54, No. 7 Point Guard, No. 3 in Virginia
On3: four-star, No. 56, a total of No. 8 Point Guard, No. 3 in Virginia
Rivals: four-stars, No. 61 in total, No. 12 Point Guard
ESPN: four-star, No. 88 total, No. 18 Point Guard, No. 4 in Virginia

Mallory is one of only eight players in the ESPN Top 100 for the 2025 class, which his college engagement does not yet have to announce.

In view of the fact that Mallory is one of the few players in class 2025 who have not yet met his college selection, and due to his persistent interest in Virginia, despite Tony Bennett's departure and the resulting turbulent season, it can be concluded that he was at least part of the reason why Mallory was having the announcement that he was waiting for a new coach situation, to create a new coach situation. Trainer.

Although there was no specific schedule in relation to the recruitment of Mallory in the past, there is now a fixed period and the cavaliers would be good to clarify their coaching situation if they want to have a chance to recipe Mallory. Mallory has been waiting as long as possible, but the transfer portal will open on March 24, just two days after his determined decision date of March 22. If he has not yet made his college decision, Uva could still make a late advance for Mallory, but that's a big if.

Virginia still has a regular game of the season – on Saturday evening in Syracuse – then the ACC tournament in Charlotte next week. In addition, the game after the season is not guaranteed for the Cavaliers, which are not taken into account for a wide range for the NCAA tournament, but could possibly be selected for the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Will Virginia end his season and make a decision about his coaching situation in one way or another to win Mallory's commitment for the second time? We will find out soon.
