Police detectives have detained a person after a fatal shootout in the northeast of Albuquerque.

The officials responded to the 9300 block of the Academy Hills Drive NE and found a man dead. The shootout occurred on Thursday, March 6th, at 6.45 p.m.

The Homicide Unit of the Albuquerque Police Department still examines the circumstances of the shootout.
