BIRMINGHAM – – Yes'Borri McGhee A victory against Florida Atlantic (16-14, 9-8 AAC) achieved on Thursday evening when the Blazer recognized their senior class.

The owls scored the first eight points of the competition to bring the Blazer into an early hole. Alejandro Vasquez I started the OB -offensive and achieved each of the first six UAB points. The Blazer took their first lead of the night in the 14:14 brand as Yaxel Lendeborg I got on the board with a driving layup.

The blazer lead grew to six points before a 9-0 run was triggered by the Big Man Matas Vokietaitis of the Owls newcomer. Florida Atlantic had control over the offensive in the first half and shot 60.7 percent off the field.

The leadership of the FAU was up to six points late in the first half, but but Yes'Borri McGhee Layup with 26 seconds left interrupt the advantage of the owls to 42-38 during the break.

McGhee opened the second half with a tear. He scored 10 of the first 12 points from UAB, including a few three-point to put the Blazer in the lead at 4:23 p.m. 50-48.

  • Lendeborg also became the fifth player in Uab's history, who scored 1,000 points in his first two seasons, who joined Andy KennedyRobert Shannon, Robert Vaden and Jordan “Jelly” Walker.
  • Alejandro Vasquez scored 18 points, while he shot 8-against-14 out of the field.
  • Christian Coleman Added 12 points for 6-against-8 shooting.
