2 dead, 1 injured after separate shootings in Philadelphia's Fernrock, Logan sections about a mile apart from each other

Philadelphia (WPVI) – Two people are dead and a teenager is injured after shots in two separate shots were about 30 minutes and a mile in Philadelphia.

The first shootout left a man dead and a teenager who was injured in Philadelphia's Fernrock department on Wednesday evening.

It happened around 6 p.m. in the 1000 block of the Wagner Avenue.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the chest and head. He was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

A 19-year-old was also shot. It was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center and is currently in a stable state.

About 30 minutes later, another man was fatally shot about a mile away.

This shootout occurred on Wednesday in the 4800 block of the North 11th Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the city's Logan Section.

A 23-year-old man was shot three times. He was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center by a private vehicle, where he was declared dead.

In both shootings, the police said that no arrests were made and that no weapons were recovered.
