Tilta Fujifilm X -M5 cage released -minimalist and lightweight

Tilta has just released her cage and rigging options for the compact, retro-looking Fujifilm X-M5. The L-shaped Cage, made entirely of aluminum, adds an ARCA swiss base plate, a real leather strap attachment and a hot shoe denture handle for your camera. So let's take a closer look!

The Fujifilm X-M5 was released in October 2024 and is a good-looking hybrid mirrorless camera with retro-vibes. Despite the compact and light weight, the X-M5 film material can record in up to 6.2 km (6240 x 4160), Open Gate, 25/30p 10-bit 4: 2: 2 and a maximum bit rate of 200 Mbit/s. In Full HD, the X-M5 can record up to 240 fps, which is very impressive. If you want to make the best of it, you can even record in Blackmagic and Prores RAW over the HDMI output connection.

Access to a compact camera can sometimes defeat its purpose. Tilta has just created a few accessories for the Fujifilm X-M5 in order to expand and improve the usability of the camera and at the same time easy to keep.

Tilta Fujifilm X-M5 Cage functions

The main component of the Tilta Fujifilm X-M5 cage is the L-Spurte, which is attached to the underside of the camera. This base plate has a built -in walnut hand hand grip. The entire cage system consists of aluminum – obviously for the wooden hand grip – and weighs only 0.22 lbs/100 g.

An ARCA Swiss rapid release is located on the bottom of the base plate, which does not hinder the battery door.

The KIT also contains a vintage-looking hot shoesdraum handle, which should improve when you pick up the camera handling and long-term comfort. Last but not least, it contains two real leather strap attachments to give style and convenience when using a camera belt.
