Neshaminy hires new football coaches

The Neshaminy School Board has approved the attitude of Nicholas M. Felus as the new chief -varsity football coach for the Neshaminy High School.

Felus will start his new job in time for the 2025 season.

Felus has come to Neshaminy since 2019 as head coach at the Penn Cambria High School in Cambria County. Last season Penn Cambria finished 14: 1, won his first district championship and climbed into the Piaa-Class-AAA semi-final in the AAA class.

Felus was appointed coach of the year by the Altoona Mirror and the District 6 coach of the year by the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association.

Before Penn Cambria, Felus worked from 2016 to 2019 at the Altoona Area High School and from 2009 to 2016 as an offensive coordinator, quarterback and Wide recipient trainer at the Coatesville Area High School.

Felus, graduate of the Penn Cambria High School from 1996, has a bachelor's degree in primary school formation from Lock Haven University and a master's degree in educational management from West Virginia University. Felus also worked as a teacher in the school district of Coatesville and as a specialist for sporting training and developments as a high school and primary school teacher.

“We are very happy to welcome coach Nicholas Felus as the new head coach of the Neshaminy football program,” said Lisa Pennington, deputy headmistress and sports director of the Neshaminy High School. “With his passion, leadership and his commitment to the game, we look forward to the future of our team under his instructions.”

Pennington added: “Trainer Felus brings an abundance of experience and commitment to excellence that our players will inspire both on and outside the field. We look forward to seeing the hard work, the determination and success that lie ahead of us. I ask our community to offer him and his family a warm Neshaminy will to offer Ridge at Heartbreak Ridge. “

Felus replaces Steve Wilmot, who has resigned after 20 years as a co -trainer and 10 years as head coach of the Neshaminy High School in Middletown Township.
