Man who was accused

Update: A man who is accused of shoting a police officer from Johnson City on Wednesday evening was charged with tennessee Bureau of Investigation for murder for attempted murder.

The TBI stated that the officials were sent to a unmarried call to the 100 block of the Woodlawn Drive. During this call, the officers had a short encounter with a resident in the 400 block of the S Barton Street before the man went back to his house, the TBI said.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., a shot was fired from the direction of the house in the S Barton Street and hit an officer, the TBI added. No officers returned fire. The injured officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Timothy Blair, 55, is the man who is accused of having fired the shot. Blair was charged with attempted first degree murder. It is recorded in the Washington County Detung Center.

A policeman was shot on Wednesday evening, according to the Johnson City Police Department.

The police said that the shootout took place in the 2800 block of West Market Street around 9:30 p.m.

The investigators informed News 5 that the official was considered stable. One person of interest is in custody.

There is no word about what has led to shoot.
