IMSA reveals 2026 WeatherTech Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge – Time Plans – Speedway Digest

The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has announced its calendar from 2026 for 1 twelve hours of Sebring for the second time in a row and is the first major motorsport championship that reveals its schedule of 2026.

Stability and consistency continue with the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship time plan, since all 11 venues where the series races can be seen in 2025 will be transmitted by 2026.

A similar story occurs for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, with a schedule of 10 races from 2025 in 2025 continuing with the same events.

“The collaboration between IMSA and our events and promoters enabled us to reveal our calendar from 2026 at such an early stage for a second season in a row,” said IMSA President John Doonan. “This collective spirit will help our paddock and fans to prepare for the next season, even if we still run the majority of the 2025 season.”

Road America to become six hours of IMSA Michelin Langurance Cup round

The biggest change in the 2026 WeatherTech championship plan in the Road America has joined the traditional complement of the IMSA Michelin Langury Cup race: The Rolex 24 in Daytona, Mobil 1 Twelve Hours Sebring, Sahlens Six hours of Glen and Motul Petit Le Mans.

The midsummer WeatherTech championship race in Road America, in which Motul will be seen as the new title partner, will increase on a six-hour endurance race.

In the meantime, the penultimate race of the season on the Indianapoli Motor Speedway in September 2026 will be a two-hour and 40-minute battle, which the stage forms for another epic championship showdown.

Apart from the racing lengths in Road America and Indianapolis, the WeatherTech championship plan remains consistent from 2025 to 2026.

The season begins with the roar before the mandatory test of Rolex 24 from January 16 to 18, 64th Rolex 24 in Daytona from January 21 to 25. Next, the 74th Mobil comes for 1 twelve hours of Sebring in its traditional spring weekend from March 18 to 21. These two races contain all four WeatherTech championship classes: Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Grand Touring Daytona Pro and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD Pro, GTD).

California organizes the start of the sprint racing plan of WeatherTech Championship with annual consecutive trips to the streets of Long Beach from April 17th to 18th for the GTP and GTD courses. The series then drives a few hundred miles up the California coast up to the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey for a two-hour and 40-minute race on May 1 to 3 for the classes GTP, GTD Pro and GTD.

WeatherTech championship GTP and GTD Pro competitor then drive into the streets of Detroit for the third time in a row, May 29th to 30th.

Watkins Glen International organizes the six hours of the Sahlens for the first time since March 25th to 28th, before the IMSA takes its annual trip north of the Canadian tire engine sports park from July 10th to 12th. At CTMP, LMP2 is the headliner next to GTD Pro and GTD for a third year in a row.

The six-hour race of Road America will take place from July 30th to August 2 with all four classes before the GT round on the Virginia International Raceway from August 21 to 23.

All four classes will take part in the last two races of the 2026 season on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the annual Motul Petit Le Mans on the last two races of the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta from September 30th to October 3.

Michelin Pilot Challenge keeps the same schedule, the format for 2026

Consistence and date of equity are broadcast until the 1026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Challenge Challenge Calender for Grand Sport (GS) and Touring Car (TCR) class competitor.

The 2026 Michelin Pilot Challenge drives alongside the WeatherTech championship in every round next to the street runs in Long Beach and Detroit in every round.

The series will also enter the headliner spotlight on the Mid-Ohio Sport Car Course with a four-hour endurance race on June 5th to 7th. This four -hour race competes for the four -hour racing of Daytona, with the remaining eight rounds last after two hours.

The schedule flows from Daytona to Sebring, Monterey to Mid-Ohio, then next to the Watkins Glen, the Canadian tire engine sports park, the Road America, the Vir, Indianapolis and the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta next to Watkins Glen, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
