Harry Reid Airport offers tips for entertaining, safe spring vacation trip

Spring holidays are just around the corner, and the officials of the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) share important tips for more smooth trips.

Preparation for unaccompanied trips to children

Southern Nevada Schools will be in the spring break from March 17th to 21st. If your child flies alone, it is important to know airlines and procedures:

Check the Airline guidelines: Each airline has unique guidelines, fees and procedures for unaccompanied minors. Contact the airline in advance to ensure that you are fully prepared.

Arrive early:

  • For descents: arrive at the airport at least three hours before the flight to do the necessary documents and accompany your child through TSA screening. Most airlines demand that they stay at the gate until they get in with their child.
  • For arrivals: If you pick up an unaccompanied child, arrive at least two hours before the flight. You have to coordinate with the airline and go through the TSA screening to meet them at the goal.

Simplify parking with these tips

Take the stress out of the airport car park by planning ahead:

  • Reserve parking in advance: Save time by reserving parking online in Las. The prices start with Terminal 1 (T1), level 2m and 21 USD/day with Terminal 3 (T3), level 1, at 28 USD/day.
  • Choose for Terminal 3 – Further parking spaces are usually available from T3. If you fly from T1 without a tested bags, use the TSA checkpoint at T3 and bring the tram between the terminal tram to your goal.
  • Use Economy & Overflow Parking – If the lot of the T1 reconomy is full, you can expect a detour to the overflow economy to 576 Kitty Hawk Way. The remote property in the Gilespie Street 7140 offers additional space with a shuttle service to the terminal.

  • Use the cell phone -los: Enter early and wait free on Kitty Hawk Way on the mobile phone -Olos on Kitty Hawk Way every day from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Easier meetups: Look for numbered columns in the passenger collection area to coordinate with your party.
  • Avoid parking from board: Parking on the roadside is prohibited. When your party is not finished, drive to short -term parking spaces where the first 15 minutes are free, or wait longer on the cell phone square.
