Jordan Spieth has the chaotic start at the Players Championship – Field Level Media – Professional sports solutions

Jordan Spieth had a Topsy Turvy start in the player championship on Thursday and collected two Eagles, two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey and that was just over his first nine holes.

Spieth added another birdie and a bogey about his last nine holes to end at the stadium course at TPC Sawgrass with 2-little-par 70.

The first round began on Thursday positively for the three-time major winner, who started on the 10th hole. He sent an approximation shot only 14 inches from the cup of the cup to achieve a simple tap-in bird on the Par-4 hole.

“Yes, I started a dream start, and then I was just not very narrow today and that will hurt you out here at some point,” said Spieth after the round.

Spieth threw a greenside bunker for an eagle on 11th Par-5-11. A double bogey was the final result there, and a Bogey on the 15th was answered by his second eagle of the day on 16.

A bogey on the 17th par-3 was counted by a birdie on 18-4 to put an end to the chaotic route.

Spieth said he would prefer to avoid this type of volatility in one round. “I have the feeling that I want it to be boring,” he said.

The 31 -year -old Spieth went well outside of the season after the operation of the wrist operations, while he recorded a T4 at the World Cup Phoenix Open and a T9 at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.

As a 13-time winner of the PGA tour, Spieth has reached 65th place in the official world golf ranking. His last title came at the RBC Heritage in April 2022.
