Fire devastates the processing system for the processing of seafood in Canada

A fire destroyed a seafood processing plant in Cape John, Nova Scotia on Wednesday evening in Cape John, Nova Scotia.

Tim van Veen, fire chief of Scotburn, said his crew was called to the flame in Cape John Crabs and seafood shortly before 9 p.m. when he arrived, and the flames were already devouring the structure.

“They came through the roof line and she spread through the inside left and right because it was open,” he said.

Crews of fire brigades in River John, Carbou, Wallace, West River, Abercrombie, Tatamagouche and New Glasgow were on site, reported CBC News.

James Brown, deputy head of the fire brigade of River John, said the fire was difficult to fight because propane tanks inside and many refrigerant gases were.

The fire was finally out at 3:30 a.m., said Brown. The cause of the fire is examined.

Cape John Crabs and Seafood have been in business for more than 40 years and belongs to Jinhui Chen. He reported that he has 11 employees in the season.
