The restaurant owner unites with the family after being released from the internment camp on Bond

New Jersey (Kyw) – Emine Emanet, a restaurant owner who lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was reunited with her family on Wednesday evening after an immigration judge decided late Tuesday that she could be released on Bond.

Your family announced CBS News Philadelphia that you worked all day to secure the 7,500 dollar bond.

Emine Emanet was recorded in a facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey, since it was arrested on February 25. Her husband Celal Emanet was also arrested by immigration and customs officials that day, but was released with an ankle monitor. The couple owns and operates Jersey Kebab, a restaurant in Haddon Township.

Family members were waiting for them with flowers outside of the Elizabeth Detention Center.

After being released, Emine Emanet thanked for the support and protection of the community in the past few weeks.

Her son Muhammad Emanet translated so that she could speak to reporters after the release.

“She said that they are in a room like this, they really recognize the value of everyone around us, be it our family or whether it is our friends and the time we have on earth is very limited,” he said.

“She tried to take her time there while she looked around there in the facility and who she can help,” said Muhammad Emanet.

Her son said that Emine Emanet was not allowed to breathe fresh air outside during her detention and that she was traumatized by this experience.

“Today is a very good day for me. My heart is full of luck, ”said Celal Emanet.

Emine Emanet went to an immigration judge on Tuesday. Letters sent by their neighbors in Haddon Township and other business owners were read out loud during their hearing.

The ENVISION Freedom Fund paid for the bond, the organization based in New York said in a statement.

The couple legally came from Turkey in 2008. Celal Emanet said that he had applied for a green card and her immigration status has been pending since 2016. Emine Emanet has a deportation hearing for Tuesday, while Celal Emant's next hearing is planned for May. Your lawyer tries to adapt it so that your cases are heard together.
