Boston-Jack Teixeira, member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, who served a 15-year prison sentence for the assified US security documents on Thursday, was guilty on Thursday due to military charges for disabilities in the judiciary.
The 23-year-old Teixeira from Dighton started at the beginning of the court proceedings at the beginning of this week at the Hansom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, who according to one of his lawyers, according to one of his lawyers, did not take any additional time in custody.
“I acted on my moral truth as an American and patriot. I am ready to accept the accountability, and I know that I will live in an institution in an institution in prisons for the next decade,” Teixeira said in a declaration to the judge as part of his plea procedure.
He said guilty after the military judge Colonel Vicki Marcus Teixeira's offer had rejected the indictment because they had violated his right to not be persecuted twice because of the same crime after the US Ministry of Justice had previously pursued him before the civil court.
The plea was confirmed by his lawyer in the case of the Ministry of Justice, Michael Bachrach. Teixeira is expected to be convicted later on Thursday. The Air Force had no immediate comment.
Teixeira spoke about 10 minutes before the conviction in front of the Court of Justice and asked the military court to examine its motivation if he condemned him.
“I was granted access to classified information. I decided to share some of this information with the public. In a brief moment of regret, I took measures that I knew that they would have the secondary effect of making an investigation more complicated,” said the explanation he made during the procedure. “Back then and now I understood that what I was doing was illegal, but I also (and still believed) that it was my moral obligation as a proud American and patriot.”
Teixeira's statement discussed his opposition to America's participation in the war in Ukraine, the bidges and his belief in the deep state. He also said he acted alone.
He asked the military court to consider his earlier judgment from the Federal Court of Justice.
“Finally, my only self -interested request is: I ask President Donald Trump, (FBI) Director Kash Patel and Ms. Alice Johnson to check my double production and punishment with a view to return,” he said.
Johnson is Trump's “forgiveness preparation”.
What was Jack Teixeira charged?
The military charges were submitted last year after what the US authorities say was one of the greatest leaks of classified documents for years, including some in connection with the invasion of Russia to Ukraine.
The prosecutors say that Teixeira worked in January 2022 as a first class plane at Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
The Luftwaffe public prosecutor says that Teixeira disabled the judiciary by dispatching an iPad, computer hard drive and the iPhone after the leaks were uncovered in April 2023, and instructed someone to delete online messages that Teixeira sent to the Discord -Messaging app.
The Air Force only became guilty after the accusation, after Teixeira guilty in March 2024, to separate the charges raised by the Ministry of Justice, which he had deliberately maintained and transferred classified information about the national defense.
Teixeira was later sentenced to 15 years in prison by a federal judge in Boston in November.
Teixeira, graduate of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School 2020, was arrested in his house in Dighton in April 2023.
