Police detention Bloomington man after examining children's porn with several countries

Scott. D. Kain was arrested for several charges in the counties Knox and Monroe as well as in Davis County, Utah.

After an release of the Indiana State Police, Scott. D. Kain, 37, from Bloomington, was arrested on Wednesday, March 12, for preliminary indictment for non -registration as a sex offender, the request and distribution of harmful matter to minors. He also provides for a crime to seduce a minor in Utah.

The examination of Cain began after a cybertip was called to the national center for missing and exploited children.

The tip said that a youthful female victim reported that Kain had asked to send him photos via Discord, and Kain supposedly threatened to hurt her if she did not provide any photos for him.

ISP internet crime against children, Detective Robert Whyte, was assigned to the case and later learned that Kain lived in Knox County and had not registered as a sex offender. Then an arrest warrant against Cain's arrest was issued.

Detective who searched for Cain later learned from ICAC investigators in Utah that Kain was also a sought -after suspect in the city of Layton, a suburb north of Salt Lake City. According to the police in Utah, a 14-year-old girl had reported that Kain had sold naked photos of her and allegedly threatened to kill her if she hadn't listened to his inquiries. The Utah police also issued an arrest warrant against Cain's arrest.

Whyte later discovered that Cain lived in the basement of a house in southern Monroe County. After a search order against Kain's alleged place of residence, the officials were in custody without edition.

The police say that Kain had lived in Monroe County since July 2024 and never registered there as a sex offender.

Kain was arrested for several charges in the counties Knox and Monroe and Davis County, Utah. According to online court files, Kain was officially charged with a crime of failure to register as a sex offender on March 13.

According to the ISP, Kain was originally booked in the prison of Monroe County before his custody was transferred. It is currently being recorded in the amount of $ 2,500.
