Fort Myers Beach Women's Club has brought the parade back to St. Patrick's Day for the first time since Hurricane Ian 2022 to Fort Myers Beach.

The parade will take place this Saturday, March 15, two days before St. Patrick's Day at 10 a.m. The parade begins at Santini Marina Plaza on the 7205 Estero Boulevard and works to Fort Myers Beach Women's Club property in front of the Sterling Avenue.

In an announcement on the return of St. Patrick's Day Parade this coming weekend, the co-chair of the Fort Myers Beach Women's Club for the Parade-Deb Nelson and Barb Mezeske of the King Family Foundation have attributed an after party to provide funding for the parade.

“Thanks to the generous support of the King Family Foundation, this beloved tradition is back and brings excitement and community spirit to the heart of the island,” wrote Mezeske and Nelson in an announcement.

Paradedentils:

The organizers of the parade expect around 40 entries, including four area marching bands, local community swimmers, collector's cars, golf cars and more.

Before the parade:

Fort Myers Beach Women's Club announced that Sweet Lick's, a new ice store on Santini Plaza, will be open from 8 a.m. to serve coffee, breakfast stages and ice cream. Skyes bar is also on hand and offers a selection of refreshments. Toilets will be available.

After party in the Women's Club:

As soon as the parade ends in the 175 Sterling Ave, Fort Myers Beach Women's Club will organize an after-party on its property from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., served with live music by Briz and Lady, a beer car, green beer and nutrs, Skyes bar and three food trucks.

There will be Port-A-Potties on site when the Fort Myers Beach Women's club building was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022. The club collects donations to build a new one. According to organizers, parking from the Sterling Avenue real estate will quickly fill up quickly after the party.

Mezeske and Nelson encouraged paradeses to “attract their green clothes, take their family and friends with them and to join the fun. It is time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with style on Fort Myers Beach. “
