The office from there is looking for information from the Crisis Line call in Redstone Township Shooting

The top law enforcement officer from Fayette County is waiting for a call to call a crisis hotline before determining whether a police officer from Redstone Township shot and killed a man at the beginning of this year.

District Prosecutor Mike Aubele said on Thursday that a call was made to a hotline before the police reacted to the 132 Lyndale Road in Grindstone, where 27-year-old Christopher Hackney lived.

“This call was led to a place in West Virginia,” said Aubele, explaining that the call was answered.

The person who answered the crisis hotline then made Fayette County 911.

The details of the crisis call were sent to the organization's headquarters, which was not identified in New York. Here Aubele is looking for the records.

The Redstone Township police were called to the home of the Lyndale Road to carry out a wellness check to Hackney. An officer shot Hackney, but there were hardly any additional details about what led to the shootout.

Last month, the Redstone Township Supervisor and the legal officer, George Matis, confirmed the official on vacation after the herald standard submitted an RTK application.

Matis did not disclose the name of the officer.

Aubele expressed that he did not feel that it would be appropriate to make a decision in this case without knowing the details of the call about the crisis hotline.

“I think it is necessary to check all evidence before making a decision. We owe it to the victim and his family and the officer to carry out a complete investigation, ”said Aubele.
