The IMSA-sanctioned Mustang Challenge is preparing this weekend at the second season at the Sebring International Raceway and shows the Mustang Dark Horse R in an intensive individual racing format. The calendar of the 2025 Mustang Challenge calendar consists of six rounds and 12 championship races as well as a special non-point invitation on the Circuit de la Sarthe, where the competitors support the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans.

Robert Noaker won the victory in the Dark Horse class and used his pole position from the qualification. In the meantime, Alex Bachoura drove his way to a dark horse legend -Triumph and secured an impressive third place overall. Now attention will be paid on Friday to race 2.

• Location: Sebring International Raceway in Florida

Similar to other IMSA-supported events, the Ford Mustang Challenge will follow a structured race weekend format, which consists of two 30-minute training sessions, a 15-minute qualification session and two 45-minute sprint races.

The competitors are divided into two categories: Dark Horse and Dark Horse Legends. The latter serves as an optional classification that is tailored to bronze rated drivers aged 45 and over.

Race 1 starts on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET, with Race 2 set for Friday at 10:20 a.m.
