The mayor of West Memphis tags on civil servants examined

Memphis, tenn. (WMC) – The mayor of West Memphis, Marco McClendon, said this was a bad situation and does not reflect well in the city of West Memphis.

According to the West Memphis police authority, four police officers from West Memphis have been examined in a paid administrative vacation.

According to McClendon, this investigation is based on the allegations of an incident within the department.

“This situation is internal,” he said on Thursday in a call.

Details on the actual incident were not published.

“Well, I need people to know that we will take misconduct, especially women, very seriously,” said McClendon. “We hope that the allegations are not true, but if they are definitely true, we will handle them quickly.”

Most group members are in management positions within the department. Something that McClendon says is worrying.

“They lead with a good example and if you are a top officer you depend on to direct our department and to lead our department and to be positive examples for our young officers, and then happen,” he said. “It doesn't look good for us.”

Major Stacy Allen, Captain Ivora Hall, Captain Moses Walker and Officer Treasure Gaither were confirmed by the department as civil servants.

“This is an unfortunate situation. It is not a good look for our city, ”said the mayor. “At the moment I don't want to say what was done because I don't have all the facts. I'm still waiting for the facts. ”

All, Hall and Walker have moved in the department in the department over the years.

According to the social media -gaither of West Memphis School District, the resource representative is at the West Junior High School.

We contacted Arkansa's State Police and the Attorney General in Arkansas to ask if they are involved in the investigation. We are waiting to hear back.
