Wet Weekend/St. Patrick's daily conditions

Missoula – Western Montana will experience a temporary return to the winter weather this weekend and the short spring tests we enjoyed.

Most of the time should remain calm today, although scattered showers can occur all day long, accompanied by slightly cooler temperatures when we go to the weekend.

Overall, Friday will serve as a transition day before a remarkable change arrives. From Sunday, a weak atmospheric river should bring moisture, which will be the day when we feel the greatest influence of the storm. Light rain and snow are also expected in the valleys on Saturday.

If you have travel plans for the spring holidays that include the mountain passes, it is important to check the current weather conditions before they are on the way.

It is forecast that several passes, including Lookout and Marias, will receive snow between 8 and 12 inches from now on, which could create dangerous driving conditions.

St. Patrick's Day (Monday) also looks like a wet. Fortunately, the temperatures should stay in the 40s to the next week.
