What we know:

The Claremont police answered a call from Claremont McKenna College on Wednesday, March 13, after receiving reports on a possible active shooter.

The threat forced the school to order “protection in place”, and the police authorities of La Verne, Ontario and Upland jumped in to help Claremont PD at the scene.

After a campus -wide search for the possible shooter, the police considered the threats to be a joke.

Nobody was injured by the alleged blow, the police said.

What we don't know:

From 8 p.m., officials have not announced any arrests on the fake threats.
