Pridechicago announces the date and topic for 2025 Chicago Pride Parade

Pridechicago, the voluntary organization behind the most lively and expected annual event of the city, reveals pride “Proudly united”As the official topic of the Chicago Pride Parade 2025.

The 54th annual parade will take place on Sunday, June 29th. She is from Sheridan and Broadway at 11 a.m. and march through Chicago's pioneering LGBTQ+ Northalsted district.

This year's topic reflects the mighty spirit of unity, resilience and love, which the LGBTQ+ community and its allies define. “United in pride” is more than just a parade, an opportunity to come together, use diversity and continue the fight for equality.

“The Chicago Pride Parade has been a powerful platform for visibility, advocacy and celebration for over 50 years,” said Tim Frye, coordinator of the parade. “In 2025 we not only celebrate how far we have come, but also in the face of growing challenges that strength we have when we are together.”

The Chicago Pride Parade was founded in 1970 as a gay exemption march to commemorate the Stonewall uprising from 1969 and developed into one of the country's largest and most famous pride events and pulled up to 1 million people each year.

Frye, who coordinated the parade next to his late husband Richard Pfeiffer for over five decades, was included in the US Association of Pride (USA Pride) 2025 Hall of Fame. Today he continues his work with co-coordinators Steve Long and Ron Thomas.
