The Bitcoin logo shines over Austin, Texas, as Gemini sets up a new world record

The exchange of cryptocurrency Gemini set up a New Guinness World Record by using 1,000 drones to form the Bitcoin logo in the sky and to mark the largest air display of a currency symbol.

The event, which took place on March 13 in Austin, Texas, celebrated the US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Initiative.

Gemini's drone show showed, among other things, representations of a rocket start and the moon landing. During the show, Bitcoin (BTC) logo followed from a text with the inscription “Go where dollars do not become”. The company said:

“To celebrate the US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, we organize a Guinness World Record Breaking Drone Show. The show examines the future of money and shows the legendary Bitcoin “₿” as the largest currency symbol in the sky. “

After the successful drone show, Gemini received a certificate for “The largest Ariel display of a currency symbol that was formed by multirotor/drones”.

The Bitcoin logo history history

In over 16 years of Bitcoin's existence, his logo has subjected several iterations to the community with the feedback. The first Bitcoin logo created by Satoshi Nakamoto represented a gold coin with a BC text embedded in the middle, as shown below.

The logo was published as a copyrighted image and widely accepted as an official symbol for Bitcoin.

On November 1, 2010, a new iteration of the Bitcoin logo was created by a Bitcoin community member Bitboy (not with Youtuber Bitboy Crypto), which was overwhelming by the early Bitcoiners.

As a result, Bitboys Logo was accepted as an official Bitcoin logo and has been used so far.

The updated logo replaced the golden background with light orange color and showed nakamotos “₿” logo clockwise by 14%.
