The Mozambican activist entered criminal complaints against the former minister and former commanders

The social activist Wilker Dias, director of the decisive platform, submitted a criminal complaint against the former police chief and the former interior minister of Mozambique and blamed them for the deaths in the protests after the election.

“We submitted a criminal complaint to the General Prosecutor's office against former police chief Bernardino Rafael and against former Interior Minister Pascal Ronda.

According to the representative, the criminal should blame the families of the victims of the demonstrations in addition to compensation.

“We were interviewed by the public prosecutor's deputy attorney general and she heard our concerns about the process. We also received [information] (…) About the process itself, which progresses in the best possible way, ”said the director of the non -governmental organization (NGO), which monitors the election process in the country.

Dias also said that “some statements are collected” at this moment and further information about the process in the coming days is expected. Mozambique has been experiencing a climate of violent social since October

Protests that contest the election results and now also complain about the increasing cost of living and other social problems still take place in various parts of the country, although to a lesser extent.

According to the decisive platform, at least 353 people have died of protests since last October, including around two dozen minors.
