House Fire leaves the house of Fond du Lac County a “total loss”

Fondu LAC (NBC 26) – A metoma owner now takes off the pieces and immediately finds out the next steps after a section of his house has caught fire on Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff's sheriff of Fond du Lac said shortly after 3 p.m., they received a call about the fire, which was in the W13707 Highway 44.

Brandon Fairwater and MP of the Sheriff office of Fond du Lac arrived at the scene and found a side of the house on fire.

From privacy of the owners, we were asked to record only the section that experienced the damage.

The MPs said that at that time nobody was in the house.

It was later found that a controlled burn in a ditch on the lawn and later spread to the house.

A total of ten fire departments helped to end the fire, and the authorities believe that the house is a total loss.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, at around 3:06 p.m., the Sheriff Communications Center of the Sheriff of Fond du LAC received a 911 call in relation to a residence that was completely cursed in N13707 Highway 44, Town Metomen, Fond du Lac County. The Brandon Fairwater Fire Department and the members of the Sheriff office of Fond du Lac County were immediately sent.

Upon arrival, the MPs saw that the entire west side of the residence was devoured with flames, the residence entered to ensure that nobody was inside and found nobody. It was later learned that nobody was in the residence at the time of the fire. The Brandon Fairwater Fire Department came and deleted the fire. The first examination shows that the fire began from a controlled incineration strain in the ditch, which spread on the lawn of the apartment and then to the house. No firefighters or civilians were injured, and it is assumed that the house is a complete loss. The owners of the property are Brent and Emma Hopp.

The Sheriff's office and the Brandon Fairwater Fire Department were supported by the Sheriff Office Communications Center and Alliant Energy. The homeowner was with the family when we talked to him, and says he was only glad that he has accommodation to spend the night. He also thanks the first aiders who have contributed to stopping the fire from further damage.
