Hamilton County's unemployment ticks slightly to start the year


In January, unemployment rates under 5%reported two -way tennesses 95 counties, although most districts recorded an increase in prices in the previous month, newly published data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Hamilton County's unemployment rate rose slightly from December and rose from 3.3% to 3.5% in January.

In 87 counties, the unemployment rates were opposite the tariffs of December 2024.

Williamson County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month with 2.8%, the same rate as in the previous month. Perry County had the highest unemployment rate from Tennessee with 7.6%, an increase in the percentage point by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month.

The data published last week showed that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate from Tennessee was 3.7%in January, just like the revised price in December. The national rate was 4%.

While the nationwide unemployment rates are adapted to take into account the effects of seasonal workers, the district rates are not.
