SAN ANTONIO – According to the San Antonio Fire Department, two houses had significant damage after a fire started in a house in West Side.

The firefighters arrived at 12.45 p.m. on Friday in a house in the 600 block of the South Navidad Street.

The crews brought the fire under control and believe that it began from a cigarette that burned on a table. According to the SAFD, three men were not at home when the fire started.

The damage to the house was estimated at around 40,000 US dollars, said Safd.

A second home also had vinyl cladding that was also affected; The crews estimated the damage between $ 10 and $ 12,000.

Nobody was injured. It is unclear whether the second house was occupied at the time of the fire.
